Finally got around to watching Synecdoche, New York tonight.
It reminded me why I love Kaufman & Hoffman so much. After 30 minutes, I was wondering if it was going anywhere. Another 30 minutes later, and I didn't want it to end. I wanted the layers to keep unfolding, just to watch. There came a point where I didn't care where the story was going, or if anything was even going to be done. It was presented & acted in such a way, with little treasures hidden in the folds, that the destination no longer mattered.
I found it to be an amazing heartbreaking romp through regret & acceptance. But you don't have to take my word for it.
